We don't lead with the résumé. We lead with the person, and with their point of view on a market.
Across two funds, four archetypes keep showing up.

The Dynamo
Some founders don't wait for permission. The Dynamo is high-slope, AI-native, technically fearless, and willing to outwork anyone in the room. What they lack in scar tissue they make up for in clockspeed and an almost irrational conviction that they will figure it out. They aren't building because it's a good career move. They're building because they can't picture doing anything else. Their inexperience is not a bug we tolerate. It's why they walk through walls other people have learned to respect.
The Veteran
The Veteran has already won. Built it, sold it, made the money, and came back anyway. Not out of necessity. The first one only whetted the appetite. They bring earned pattern recognition, a network they actually built, and the clarity that comes from having done the thing. They know what they don't know, and they hire around it. A PhD in startups, returning for a second dissertation. The one thing we watch for: whether they're running the last playbook or writing a new one.
The Specialist
The Specialist has gone deep in a single domain for years, sometimes a decade. They've lived the inefficiency, not read about it. In the first meeting they can teach us the business on a whiteboard. Their edge isn't hustle or vision. It's earned insight nobody else in the room has. The best ones have a point of view the world hasn't caught up to yet. The question we sit with is whether they can hire outside their own expertise.
The Visionary
The Visionary sees something others don't, and has the magnetism to make other people see it too. They pull in talent, move capital, and build conviction in rooms that were skeptical when they walked in. They are exceptional at selling the future. The best ones pair that with intellectual honesty and a team that keeps them honest. We look carefully at who they surround themselves with, and we ask whether they love the problem as much as they love the story.
What Runs Through All Four
We aren't looking for founders who fit a mold. We're looking for founders who are undeniably themselves.
Don't try to be the best. Be the only.
